Fatal Agreements

Even with a contract, you can still have problems – especially if your contract has one of these fatal flaws: consumers and others rebel against deals that contain nothing for them – and they usually have many other possibilities in the market. If you`re not the only place someone can go, a balanced contract, with fair remedies to problems on both sides, will serve your business better in the long run. It would be Belle Gunness, a serial killer in Indiana in the early twentieth century. Whether with customers and contractors, distributors, suppliers, independent contractors, employees, business partners or owners, contracts are an integral part of modern business. Without a contract, you can be exposed to all sorts of unfortunate (and costly) legal problems. Of course, you want your contract to be thorough – but don`t sacrifice the clarity and goodwill of your consumers. Whispered rumors have for decades tickled the ears of residents of an entire city about the disturbing secrets of the former Halstead House, which dates back to the early 1920s. Most people didn`t believe them. Many people will soon discover that they should have listened.

Contracts that do not comply with the law may be invalidated and unenforceable. To paint someone is to make him lazy, to fix a living person in a motionless person. In a way, taking someone out of life and putting them perfectly in silence can be considered a form of murder. This seems to be the premise of The Fatal Contract, where we can see a bartender who can only paint women when they are dead, and a woman who only buys art when the artist and model have died. It is a classic Gothic territory reminiscent of “The Oval Portrait” and The Portrait of Dorian Grey, as he uses portraits as a metaphor for death. Unfortunately, on paper, The Fatal Contract is a much more interesting film than in the execution, which manages to distort its premise every step of the way. The result is a lukewarm mix of gothic romance and crime thriller that manages not to be very romantic or particularly exciting.
