HCL Technologies (HCL) announced the signing of a managed services agreement with Xerox. Under the terms of the agreement, HCL will manage a portion of Xerox`s shared services, including global administration and support functions, including but not limited to certain IT and financial functions (excluding accounting). With HCL`s global reach and capabilities, Xerox will strategically evolve its shared services into a digital operation focused on processes and technology. Under the terms of the agreement, a group of Xerox employees will move to HCL (subject to compliance with consultation with the European Works Council and labour law requirements). “This expanded partnership is a testament to the strong Xerox-HCL relationship that has grown over the past 10 years through multiple collaborations,” said C Vijayakumar, President and CEO of HCL Technologies. “It`s a win-win deal. Xerox will benefit from our global reach, best-in-class processes, and investments in artificial intelligence, robotic process automation, and transformation tools, and HCL will benefit from a long-term agreement to provide support and product management services to Xerox. Indian IT company HCL Technologies announced Tuesday that it has signed a $1.3 billion managed services agreement with Xerox over several years. HCL Technologies (HCL) announced a seven-year, $1.3 billion managed services agreement with Xerox. HcL will manage portions of the Shared Services, including administrative and support functions, including certain IT and finance functions (excluding accounting), under the new IT contract announced today. Under the terms of the agreement, a group of Xerox employees will move to HCL. “This seven-year agreement for an additional $1.3 billion continues to build on the success of the Xerox-HCL relationship, which began in 2009 with product development and support services,” HCL Tech said in a statement. “Xerox will benefit from our world-class global processes and investments in artificial intelligence, robotic process automation and transformation tools, and HCL will benefit from a long-term agreement to provide product support and administrative services to Xerox,” said C Vijayakumar, President and CEO of HCL Technologies.
